Our environment appears to operate on automatic under the scientific physical laws of our Universe. At the quantum level, we witness particles and waves responsible for these laws. Oddly enough the more microscopic you go the more chaotic things seem. Even below that there is programmed information from higher dimensional deities at the energy string and metaphysical energy levels. In union with that is a plethora of nature deities who keep our Universe in stable operating order while preventing chaos from ensuing. These include Gods, Goddesses, Nymphs, and of course Fairies. Some are manifestations of certain elements of that program or spontaneous personified creations of the Omniverse Lords sub-consciousness. Others came about from mass belief within the human collective consciousness. Naturally, there are simply those created by higher-level deities.
The Fantastical Fairy
A Fairy, Faery, or Faerie, is a low-level nature spirit with a mostly human-like appearance with the exception of their extremely small size and wings. Sometimes they have pointed ears as well. They manage specific aspects of any given environment. In magical power, they fall under nature Nymphs who they sometimes work with. Nymphs are known to manage seasons, forces of nature, landforms, bodies of water, general wildlife & plant life in local areas. Fairies handle more specific aspects of localized nature. They in essence act as mystical micro-managers who get more hands-on than other deities. This mainly includes specific species of plants and animals along with the physical aspects of the enchanted environment. It can also include localized phenomena such as weather. Some even independently create new duties for themselves such as in the case of Tooth Fairies.
Fairies Are Physical
Despite being called spirits they don’t have an invisible non-corporeal form or live out of phase with human reality, such as Nymphs. Fairies actually exist in nature as supernatural biological beings among the animals and must hide like any other physical beings to an extent. Thankfully they possess the magic of nature which aids in them remaining hidden. This constant physical state of being is their greatest vulnerability yet it gives average humans a chance to catch a glimpse of them. Along with magic, they have the advantage of being quite small which makes for easy nature concealment. The smallest fairies might not even be visible by the human eye while the largest fairies may fall in the 9 inch height range. The largest Fairy ever was said to be 1 foot tall!
The Wings Of Fairies
The Fairy’s most known physical feature is their wings that can come in a variety of designs. Most commonly butterfly, and angelic wing designs that appear translucent with various colors of glitter sprinkled upon it. Gold is the most common color. Interestingly enough these mystical wings are the only part of their body that are made of astral metaphysical energy. Although when in flight they take on a metaphysical matter form. Hence the despicable ingredient of crushed fairy wings in dark witchcraft spells! The astral wings allow the wings to appear to vanish at will when not in flight. This is why some fairies may appear to have wings while others may not. A by-product of their flight, and use of magic is the infamous substance known as Fairy Dust. Something that can be used in a variety of spells both good, and bad. Those with a keen enchanted eye, and supernatural sense can find fairy dust glittered among nature.
The Changing Form Of The Fairy
This small form isn’t the only state Fairies can exist in. They can transform into a normal sized human like form. This is somewhat the equivalent of a Nymph taking physical form. It takes a high level of power to maintain this increased stature, and they lose the ability to fly as well. There’s also a reduction in magical powers. When in large form they are often mistaken for Nymphs. They make take this form to partake of missions in the human world, or in some cases to pursue a human who catches their sensual eyes. Although rare Fairy-Human Hybrids can result! Some fairies can also shapeshift into the form of whatever part of nature they are charged with maintaining, and protecting. This could be anything from rocks, water, clouds, plants, and animals. They do this by channeling the magic of Mother Nature’s sub-spirit for any given natural element. The purpose is to truly experience, and understand nature to its fullest.
The Paranormal Powers Of Fairies
As previously mentioned fairies can fly, and take the form of nature they represent. As well as taking a temporary human form where all their powers are greatly reduced. As supernatural beings, they possess enhanced strength, speed, agility, and senses. With their strength, and speed they could knock down a full-grown human, and deliver several damaging micro blows. However, that would only happen if all else failed in an attack, or they were just an ornery dark fairy! Fairies also have psychic, empathic, telepathic, and hypnotic abilities. Powers that work best on animals, and humans but to a far lesser extent on other paranormal beings. They can get premonitions of the future as it relates to the environment they manage. For instance, knowing the day that their patch of forest will fall prey to lumberjacks or a wildfire!
Whatever their specialty Fairies have Zoopathic abilities, and can control a wide array of animals. There are also varying degrees of Nature Manipulation, and Ecological Empathy along with powers that are necessary for their Goddess-given tasks. As an example, water fairies can have Hydrokinetic abilities. Fairies channel metaphysical energies from Nymphs who in turn gain power from Goddesses. This allows them to perform magic at peak power. They also dispense power to witches, and wizards who perform Fairy Magic. They also can have the ability to direct energy into a focused burst for photokinetic, and even electrokinetic powers. Some may also have telekinetic abilities as well.
Fairies are immortal but not amortal. They can be injured, and killed by powerful practitioners of magic, and various supernatural entities. Upon death, their bodies burst into fairy dust! Their spirit is released from their physical bodies so that they may enter the Earthly afterlife of Goddess Gaia’s Paradise Plane, request resurrection from a patron Goddess, or be promoted to Nymph if they lived long enough. Although a deeply heroic or helpful act can elevate them to Nymph status as well.
Where Do Fairies Live?
Fairies build homes for themselves just like humans. The difference is that they are very tiny and made to camouflage within their natural setting. Often trees are the most favorite place. Especially within the trunk itself. Although they may indeed build a separate wood structure. There are also many homes built from mushrooms, buried underground, and even underwater. In the arid desert regions, they might make a cactus into a home. In the isolated arctic an ice house is the norm. Some take advantage of the animals they care for. For instance, a Wolf Fairy might live in a wolf’s den. A place most humans and other animals probably wouldn’t venture. If you manage to find a Fairy House don’t disturb it out of respect for the Fairy. If they see you there they will simply abandon the structure and move somewhere else.
The Origin Of Fairies
The origins of Fairies are a well kept supernatural secret. It’s thought that they could have been spontaneously created by the collective consciousness of animals, and humans coming together for the first time. Plausibly the collective spirits of any given nature element with intelligence imbued by Goddess Gaia Mother Earth’s subconscious. Something similar to the theory that some Gods were inadvertently created by the human collective consciousnesses. Another line of thought says the Gods & Goddesses created them as another level of environmental workers. This is the case with the ultimate ground workers of the Gods known as Elves. It’s also plausible Fairies are simply demoted deities who angered the wrong Powers That Be! Certainly we know that Fairies can ascend to Nymph status after millennia of satisfactory service. Where ever they came from Fairies can be helpful to humans and integral to nature. Although they can also be malicious depending on the specific species they belong to, and the influence of a higher power over them. This can include human practitioners of magic, demons, or other higher-dimensional entities of evil! Certainly, we know of dark fairies who are under the influence of Underworld Dark Gods and even demons of Hell!🧚
📝Fun Fact: A Group of Fairies is called A Flurry.
Is the book Lady Cottington’s pressed fairy collection based on a real dead fairy collection?
The author of the Fairy book Brian Froud has secretly stated to members of the real supernatural community that he came across a rare Faeriemancer, supposedly named Frankfurter Finkelstein, while researching his book in the Scottish Galloway Forest Park. The diabolical Faeriemancer was proud to show off his macabre, and blasphemous collection of dead Fairies. Apparently Finkelstein was born with a psychokinetic talent to control, and hypnotize Fairies as opposed to learning the Faeriemancing Magicals Arts. He said he noticed his powers increase when he ate the Fairies alive. However the power was too immense to withstand more than once a week. The Faeriemancer Finkelstein is the most wanted person in the worldwide Faerie Community. Despite the differences between various Fairy Factions they all agree that Finkelstein must die! Finkelstein is a known associate of the Sorcerer Dimitri Diablo, current King Of Hell, and his former apprentice the Sorcerer Brimstone.

Are all Fairies Female?
What are the powers of Fairy-Human Hybrids? Also assuming that a Fairy-Human Hybrid came across a Faeriemancer, would the Human Half keep them from being able to be hypnotized?
They’d have less energized versions of most, if not all, Fairy powers. They wouldn’t gain wings to fly but their kinship with fairies would allow for the collection of enough fairy dust to fly every so often. Hypnosis depends on the power of the Faeriemancer, and the will of the human half of the Hybrid. Probably a 50% chance.
