Nosferatu: The Indirect Demonic Origin Vampire
The nefarious Nosferatu is one of the four vampire species on Earth. They’re the type of vampire infected with varying strains of the vampire virus whose ultimate origin is indirectly demonic in nature. It’s often called the Nosferatu Virus. There’s enchanted evidence that this strain of the virus has a pandemic capability similar to the zombie virus, thereby creating the potential for a Vampire Apocalypse! Humans generally catch the Nosferatu Virus from an infected animal who bites them. However, these virus strains aren’t quite as potent in animals as the direct demonic virus. The direct demonic strain can only be transmitted by vampires descended from the First Generation royal demon line.
The most common animals to transmit the supernatural virus are Vampire Bats who have been infected by a sub-species of Bat Flea, a paranormal cryptid that is the main carrier of the free-form vampire virus. Some Cryptozoologist’s have suggested that the Vampire Bat Flea may be a demonic tampering of natural evolution. The virus itself is deeply intertwined in the Flea’s DNA. Further supernatural study may unlock the mysteries of the demonic virus and ultimately a cure for this bloody curse!
The Nasty Nosferatu
Those who are infected with the Nosferatu vampire virus immediately begin a deterioration in appearance. Within several months, they transform into hideous creatures with pointed ears and fangs that won’t retract. They lose all their hair as their eyes turn crazy and sink somewhat into their skulls. Their entire body undergoes a disturbingly terrifying transformation. Those brought across into the dark immortal sanguine shadows by vampires of royal demonic lineage enjoy an upgrade in their appearance and almost always look beautiful. However, there is a true monstrous appearance that can manifest at will, when ready to feed on blood, or when deeply angered. The ability to appear as a handsome human allows them to mingle among humankind, ready to prey upon unsuspecting innocents!
The monstrous Nosferatu are damned to hide in the dark moonlit shadows for their entire mortal lives. Lives that can go on for nearly 1000 years, depending on how much quality human blood they consume. Most of the time, they consume animal blood, as it’s far easier to obtain. This in turn reduces their lifespan and keeps them below peak paranormal performance. Despite their appearance hampering their blood collection efforts, they do possess some measure of vampire hypnotic compelling powers. So those with weak minds can be tricked into thinking they’re with a supermodel rather than a deformed monster. Thankfully, it uses too much sanguine energy, so they usually stalk their victims, hidden from view, and pounce once they are alone.
One Bite And Your Damned To A Living Hell!
Unlike the Direct Demonic Origin Vampires, there’s no special process to turn a human into a vampire. The Nosferatu only has to bite a victim, and then let them live with the horror. It’s basically like being a sapient zombie who holds off the rot with blood. In fact, these vampires give off a noxious, rotting stench. Luckily, they rarely leave anyone alive to face such Earthly damnation. Hence the reality that animals are the most common cause of Nosferatu transformation. That, coupled with extensive vampire hunting over the centuries, has kept this breed of vampire with a relatively low paranormal population. Certainly, these creeps stand out like a sore thumb even in the darkness, making them ideal targets for Vampire Slayers. Indeed, they are susceptible to all the usual vampire repellents and eradication methods.
The Powers Of The Nosferatu
The Nosferatu are the closest thing to naturally evolved vampires in the respect that they display very little supernatural magic, like a Royal Vampire. Their eyes don’t glow except a bit in the dark. Also, they can’t change their appearance. Their fangs are always out, with no retraction ability. Other than limited hypnotic abilities, they can’t attain talents and powers by drinking people’s blood. There are also no psychic powers, nor do they grow stronger over time. However, they do have some resistance to the holy sunlight and can survive in adequate shade during the early morning and late evening hours. Their main advantage is enhanced strength, speed, agility, and senses. These abilities are usually below those of 13th Generation Royal Vampires. Most direct demon lineage vamps consider the Nosferatu an inferior sub-species that they will gladly hunt down for sport. They rarely even use them as lowly minions.🧛
