A Glamour is a supernatural spell of illusion primarily used in witchcraft and other forms of Magic. Although Witches and Warlocks cast these spells the most, it has been employed by Wizards and Sorcerers as well. Depending on one’s magical ability a Glamour can simply involve exuding powerful confidence and love that is felt by everyone around you. At a higher level, it’s possible to make one’s self appear more beautiful by slight tweaks in facial appearance. Of course, simply smiling all the time and having a warm personality can do that! At the mystical maximum, a master of magic may actually drastically change their physical appearance. This can include one’s face and body shape. Glamouring can give the appearance of losing weight, gaining a shapely form, having a more muscular physique, or even being a different gender. Although mostly used on people it has also aided in hiding or altering the appearance of physical objects.
The Casting Of A Glamour Spell
Such advanced levels of Glamouring often require potions along with spells. This is especially true if the Glamour is being placed on someone with no magical ability. Loading one up with borrowed magic might be required as well. Magical Practitioners can more easily Glamour themselves than another person. The first glimmer of the Glamour begins in the subconscious mind and flows into the body’s aura where the spell then radiates visible manipulated light and its intent outwards to other minds within a certain radius. This means at a certain distance people might see the person’s true appearance since it is a mixture of radiated light and hypnotic suggestion. Quite often the spell is a drain on the magician’s energy both physically and spiritually. It may require recharging via potions or special ceremonies.
The Essence Of A Glamour
Ultimately, the power of the Glamour depends on the skill of the magical practitioner. Of course, calling upon a powerful Nature Deity in the mix can greatly increase the odds of success. The Witches job is made easier if the subject of the Glamour has clean Chakras and a strong flow of metaphysical energy surging throughout their body and soul. For all intents and purposes, a Glamour is not magically induced shape-shifting. It is equivalent to a hologram in some respects as it manipulates parts of the aura into becoming visible light.
Although in the strictest sense, it relies more on magical hypnosis to make people believe they’re seeing something they’re not. It is possible for very powerful psychics, magicians, and paranormal beings to see through a Glamour if it isn’t strong enough. The average person will however almost never see through the illusion. Interestingly enough, very young children and animals can see through such illusions due to the magical innocence they possess.
What Are Glamour’s Used For?
Glamouring is most notoriously used by hideous green-skinned witches who are deep into the dark demonic magics. It is most often used to blend into society for various nefarious means. The full glory of the Glamour is also used in supernatural circles to infiltrate those under surveillance and to attain intelligence. It may also be used by magical assassins to gain easy access to their victims! Appearing as a familiar person is a powerful tool of manipulation used for many perplexing purposes. It is rarely used for invisibility as spells specifically for that are a bit easier.
Still being completely invisible is a Herculean task that requires many levels of magic. Hiding objects or making them appear different increases in difficulty with the size of the item. It is a huge drain on the magician and requires perplexing paranormal power. Especially if someone is trying to make a run-down shack look like a luxury mansion! Generally, for the illusion to hold the magical practitioner must always be nearby or the spell collapses.
Glamours may also be employed for use in Paranormal Witness Protection Programs for informants and those who are in danger from the forces of darkness. Naturally super-villains themselves use it to hide out from bounty hunters and the forces of righteousness. Villains, such as supernatural serial killers, may wish to sail forth feelings of love to reassure people when they themselves have no such feelings. When the Glamour only radiates confidence and other positive qualities it is used to gain better relationships and careers. Eventually, the person is able to change their personality with the aid of the Glamour so at some point they no longer need it.
The Greatest Danger Of The Glamour
The strongest Glamours create a complete holographic-like illusion seen at any distance. Especially on still and video images. It may even radiate additional hypnosis forth to manipulate people. Thankfully, this dangerous apex level Glamouring requires major miraculous mojo and elevated enchanted energy enhancements. Such a person could easily gain power over great groups of people and eventually rule the entire planet! It’s been attempted a handful of times in the past but has always been thwarted by the forces of good or even jealous rivals in the world of dark magic.
Non-Magical Glamouring
There are those born with Illusion Manipulation powers and other psychokinetic or telepathic abilities. This allows for a change in appearance or exuding a preferred compelling personality to people. Exuding positive traits can also be done through common hypnosis or even charming willpower. Certainly, even the most hideous of Nosferatu vampires can look like a picture of beauty to unsuspecting victims! There are also Shape Shifters of varying degrees that physically change their facial and bodily structures without any magic whatsoever! For the average individual simply smiling with a confident personality can greatly increase one’s natural allure.
An Advanced Glamouring Spell Used By Top Flight Witches
The spell below is read slowly as a potion is mixed in an enchanted witches cauldron and a vial, at least the length of your longest finger, is filled from it. At the last word, the vial is completely consumed. The potion is a well-guarded secret in the magical community and can’t be listed here as it is extremely dangerous in the wrong hands! Within seconds or minutes, depending on the witches power, a drastic change in appearance should occur. Without the potion, the spell depends on your power and relationship with the Goddess Aphrodite. It will be hit and miss with some people and plausibly not work from too far a distance.
A Call For A New Appearance From The Goddess Aphrodite
Typically, the new look will be as imagined in the witch’s mind. Usually, deep meditation on this takes place before the casting of this superior spell. This is generally for the face and hair only but additional lines can change the entire bodily image as well. The magic potion must be re-consumed every 24 hours to maintain the aura of illusion. Also, the potion must also be blessed every three days in the name of Aphrodite to maintain magical freshness.

*Don’t Worry! You aren’t selling your soul to Aphrodite to look hot! That’s a dark god or demon thing! You’re merely granting them temporary use of its enchanted energy reserve at some point in the future when they are under attack by the forces of darkness.🧙♀️
🪞A fair amount of Glamours can be exposed with a mirror made with silver. Most modern mirrors use aluminum so you’ll need to find an antique mirror or an expensive one that indeed uses silver. Even with a silver mirror advanced Glamours can’t be completely exposed. The mirror image might only have minor differences hard to detect.
