When Does The Halloween Season Begin?

The frightening field of Halloween horrors...
Jack-O-Lantern Of Unholy LightThe first crispy chills wafted into Alaska, Canada, Southern tip of Greenland, Iceland, Scandinavia, and Russia from the icy far north of North Pole City. An annual event brought about at the behest of the Winter God Jack Frost as a push for the Autumnal Gods to begin their pre-winter work.  In essence, he’s saying, “Enough of this sizzling Summer already!” His inaugural frost heralded a hint of the fabulous iridescent cavalcade of colors that is the Autumn season!  The hallowed heart of Autumn is the ultimate holiday of bewitching balance between good and evil. This supernatural symmetry of light and darkness is, of course, Halloween, or All Hallows Eve. A time when both the forces of righteousness and lawlessness attempt to metaphysically marshal forth enough magic to defeat the other. These paranormal powers are culled from the Spirit Of Halloween that absorbs the enchanted energies of the Human Collective Consciousness. In particular, those who heartily celebrate the Halloween season. There’s also the weakening of the veil between life and death that allows sinister spells and dark rituals to gain an extra kick amid ever-increasing paranormal activity!

The Start Of The Supernatural Halloween Season | The True Start Of Autumn

In the supernatural community, Halloween used to start at the Autumnal Equinox.  With Shala, the mysterious Queen Of Halloween, finally exiting out of the shadows of secretive history in 2013 we finally learned when the true first day of the All Hallows Season is. Shala presides over a special annual ceremony to officially usher in the sacred season of Halloween.  It takes place at the location in the Northern Hemisphere when the first healthy leaf of Autumn loses its green chlorophyll hue and turns a marvelous shade of either crimson, orange, gold, or even violet. It most often takes place in Canada (Yukon) with Alaska, Scandinavia, and Russia coming in a close second. Basically anywhere where there’s some deciduous woods nearest to the global tree line as seen on the maps above. Above that it is too cold for most trees to grow. Generally it’s most Coniferous evergreens near the line. The first leaf of fall rarely happens in Iceland, Greenland, United States or Europe as they experience Autumn later on. It happens in other autumn prone locations once in a blue moon by magical means or an Autumn Deity not following the Mother Natures patterns. This can include regions of Asia such as Kazakhstan, China or Japan. And as far south as Mexico City. The last colors of Autumn take place in Japan and the higher elevation regions of Southern Mexico. Of course, these places get the honor of The Last Leaf Of Autumn Ceremony!

Southern Hemisphere’s Hallowed Autumn

There is a similar ceremony practiced during the pre-Fall season in the Southern Hemisphere.  Although it is more low key leading up to southern Samhain on April 30th.  Samhain is the origin of the central Halloween holiday on October 31st all around the world. It is always celebrated in conjunction with Halloween by those in the magical community. Most in the South who observe All Hallows Eve still celebrate it on October 31st just they would Christmas on December 25th. The First Leaf Of Fall Ceremony takes place around February 25th thus starting their equivalent of the 66 Days Of Halloween. It most often takes place on the southern tip of Argentina. Although, it can also be in Australia (Southeast), Tasmania, New Zealand, South Africa, and Brazil (South & Southeast). March 2oth brings their Autumnal Equinox oddly amid the coming Easter season that is separate from the celebration of Spring or Ostara on September 22nd. Naturally, one must realize that the bulk of our holidays originated in the North. All these holiday celebrations are meant to marshal paranormal power and manifest balance in the metaphysical world while paying homage to the Earthly Nature Gods, and Goddesses. On the dark side, it’s demons and other damned denizens who are worshiped.

The Halloween Queen’s Autumnal Commencement Ceremony

The exact date of the Halloween Season Commencement Ceremony depends solely on the first Autumn Nymph venturing forth from the Paradise Plane to send the first spark of Fall into nature.  Shala psychically knows where the location and time will be in advance. Although, the Fall Nymphs communicate with her on a regular basis.  Some even choose to live in Shala’s own autumn paradise on Halloween Island. It’s usually sometime in the first week of September when this lovely leaf sheds its green. The leaf itself is kept as a keepsake in the Autumnal Museum on Halloween Island. New ancient records shed light on late August being the earliest date. Usually somewhere in an area where a Summer Nymph has been weakened in some way and is more than happy to begin the transition into Autumn. Often this coincides with Jack Frost’s winter wand-waving frost forth.  In the North, a number of ceremonies have taken place in the Southern Yukon!

The 66 Days And Nights Of Halloween

According to a recent decree from Queen Shala, she advocates a standard annual Halloween season despite what day the Autumn ceremony actually takes place on. The average of these days appears to land on August 27th thereby giving us the quintessential 66 Nights Of Halloween. Although, some refer to it as the 66 Days And Nights Of Halloween. That’s 66 nights in advance of Hallowmas All Saints Day November 1st with Halloween itself being the final night. So August 27th is the earliest kick-off of the Halloween season accepted in the secret supernatural world! Certainly, we here at Mystic Investigations prepare for the ever-increasing threats of vampires, werewolves, zombies, ghouls, gnomes, ghosts, poltergeists, and dark magicians! Feel free to hang up your Halloween decor, shop for Trick O Treat costumes, plan haunted parties, and spread candy about with glee! May your Halloween season be full of fun frights, and sweet treats! Hopefully free of any hellish horrors! Unfortunately, that falls upon those of us who fight the forces of evil so you can enjoy all the holiday seasons of the year!🎃
