The Dentai’s and other refugees who took up residence in abandoned box cars. It was a harsh life of survival with very little food available. Especially in the winter.

One Man Selflessly Spreads Christmas Cheer

A few days before Christmas an American Private named Philip Pelletier visited the family. He had met little Brigitte at the American run school she attended. Philip wanted to take her to a Christmas party. As an adult Brigitte recounted how magical it was to go from her life of poverty to a holiday party of good cheer. Fancy food, light, music and things she never saw before. It was an evening she never forgot. When Philip returned her to the boxcar he shared some wine with her parents and they all became good friends. Their dreary world was infused with the Spirit Of Christmas courtesy of one mans kindness.

The Spirit Of Christmas Brings People Together

Philip would return on regular basis with food and supplies. They soon considered him a member of the family. The other refugees also benefited from his kindness. Unfortunately, the day came when his squad was shipped out and they never saw him again. After 11 years of hardship the Dentai Family made it to America. They searched over 30 years for Philip and finally found him in the late 1980’s courtesy of the TV show Unsolved Mysteries as seen in the story at the top of this page. Philip was a retired postal worker living in Maine where the happy reunion took place. Regrettably, Teresa passed away years earlier. The three continued to stay in touch until their final days on Earth in the early 2000’s.

An Unknowing Human Elf

Philip Pelletier was in an elite enchanted group of humans considered Human Elves by the Demi-Angel Santa Claus himself. Indeed Phillip had continued his spirit of giving when he came from abroad. He even unknowingly met a real elf in the 1960’s. Some Human Elves are let into the supernatural world of Saint Nicholas’s Christmas in their lifetimes while others are meant to take their journey without such knowledge. However, those individuals are given a choice upon death. After he died in 2001 Philip’s spirit awoke in North Pole City with the option to be resurrected there to live as an Immortal or move on to the afterlife.
