I had auto and renters insurance with them for nearly a quarter of a century with only one claim in the early 2000’s. Despite excellent credit and a perfect driving record all they did was raise my rates every year. Then I got a new car this year and they quoted me an insane monthly rate of nearly $300! I promptly canceled my coverage, and they send me a bill for over $200 with a threat of collection agencies or lawsuits to destroy me! They’re absolute weasels! You don’t just launch a giant unexpected bill on people like this! Do what you have to do tough guys!
UPDATE: Paid a small portion and then sent a bill for a higher amount so it was still the same bill! Sounds like fraud to me? Ended up paying the whole thing with a credit card just to get rid of these threatening jokers! Oddly enough months later sent me a refund check for $50 so I guess they aren’t all bad.
