In the old days tipping was a thing done by big shots at restaurants with waiters and waitresses along with staff at fancy hotels. Now the tip culture has infested every facet of life with people demanding it or else there may be hell to pay! Some going insane if they feel the tip isn’t generous enough! Every delivery person and even drive-thru workers need their titanic tip! Really? The minute I see that credit card reader come out the window and they ask, “We just have one little question for you” I know I’m not going back there again! Some even blatantly ask for a tip instead of dancing around this BS! It’s especially ridiculous when the food is already damn expensive to begin with!
The Rise Of Silly Fast Food Drive-Thru Tipping
I just want to hand you my credit card and get my food. Why do I have to fart around with a card reader? That’s the employee’s job! How dare any establishment put someone on the spot like that! How dare employers put the burden of paying the employee on the customer. Pay your employees properly you greedy pigs and cut the TIP CRAP! Also, I’m sure they use the promise of tips to lure in employees at the customer’s expense! Plausibly paying with cash is a way around this idiocy!
It’s Not Tipping! It’s An Added Profit Path Disguised As Tipping!
Tipping is a reward for good service and a quality product. Real tipping can’t happen in advance of receiving said service or product. Therefore, all this tipping at drive-thru’s, for deliveries, and more is just an added BS fee! A sadistic pre-tip that is somewhat like a type of extortion or bribe to get the service and quality food you want. If you don’t tip or tip enough you just know the employees are going to jack your food up real good! If we were going to give real tips then there would be some mechanism to give the tip after service is complete. The drive-thru tipping is just silly with the resurrection of the old world 1990’s credit card reader! Really what is it they’re doing that suddenly deserved a tip after all these decades of no tipping existing! Hopefully people protest this crap, and it will be done by 2030!💰
