All lunar cycles come under the influence of nature deities or other higher dimensional entities. In the mainstream world the November Full Moon is usually called the Beaver Moon. This name came about from Native Americans noticing this was the time Beavers began hunkering down in their food-laden lodges for the winter. It was also the season of fur trappers looking for thick Beaver pelts that were conveniently bulked up for the cold weather. Although various minor Beaver deities might have localized influence they have very little supernatural sway globally.
In the supernatural community, the November lunar cycle is often the Dark Moon. It is mostly named for the extremely cloudy weather and lack of sunlight. Especially with the ever growing shorter days of holy sunlight and longer nefarious nights. Nights still technically within the Halloween Season as Satan’s minions partake of their diabolical delights before The Christmas Season really ramps up after Thanksgiving. The supernatural Christmas Season does begin on November 3rd but Halloween’s influence overrides the enchanted embers.
A Metaphysical Maelstrom Of Supernatural Spirits
The Dark Moon doesn’t fall under the direct authority of any given god pantheon or other metaphysical faction. This is due to the raw enchanted energy of a holy trinity of holiday spirits mingling into a metaphysical maelstrom. These are The Spirit Of Halloween, Thanksgiving, and The Spirit of Christmas. However, those Spirits are deeply tied to the authority of Thanksgiving Leader Tom Turkey, Santa Claus, Halloween Queen Shala, and the Fall Goddess Autumna. Generally, they have a hands off policy except in dire supernatural situations. The lunar energy of this Moon feeds the spirits and in turn those who hold said spirits within their hallowed hearts.
A Magical Moon Amid Wayward Wolves
The Spirit Of Thanksgiving is already a mix of Halloween and Christmas that binds the two Spirits into one to create a continuity of balance between good and evil. This already amid the balance of the Autumn Season melding Summer into Winter. When the Dark Moon falls closer to Halloween there is more demonic activity with a greater danger of Werewolf attack. The only exception is when it falls on the holy Hallowmas All Saints Day. When falling near Thanksgiving or the end of the month it causes more of a holy Christmas influence. At that time it’s called The Thanksgiving Moon or Thanksgiving Unity Moon. If it falls near the middle of the month it creates an even more perfect balance between dark and light with the metaphysical moniker Dark Hallowed Thanks Moon.
Werewolves can be a danger during any Full Moon night but it lessens later in the month of November. All Souls Day Of The Dead is the worst due to it’s proximity to Halloween and evil energies waywardly wafting about. Standard Werewolf Repellents work quite well. Thankfully, you can add Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas artifacts and imagery to your list things that will repel Werewolves. For reasons not fully understood Werewolves will avoid turkeys like the plague and even run from them!🦃 [See Past Dark Moon Forecasts]
