Unsuspecting souls are scared by an elevator prank in which the lights are cut, and a little girl made to look like a horrific ghost comes out of a secret panel. Once the lights come back on the hilarious reactions commence. She then lets loose a blood curdling scream, the lights are cut again, and she disappears back into the secret trap door. Naturally these type of pranks can only take place in other nations besides the United States due to the delicate nature of our populace that looks to lawyers in pursuit of court mandated riches for their mental anguish. Just another reason why most of the populace could not handle knowing about the real world of the supernatural. A world that has produced many ghosts, and poltergeists including little other worldly girls in an elevator.
One such case was suppressed by the media, in conjunction with the government, in 1968 Detroit, Michigan where a small girl died in an elevator at the hands of a diabolical elevator repairman named Harvey Hinton who was dabbling in the dark arts. He sacrificed her to demonic entities while stopping the elevator between floors which he technically saw as the 13th level. This particular building left out the number 13 in the elevator or anywhere else due to superstitious reasons. His demonic ritual gave him powers for a time but eventually he met a horrific death which took place ironically in an elevator that fell 20 stories down a shaft after the lines mysteriously snapped. In the process of his dark demonic sacrifice the girls soul was bound to the elevator. 
When juiced up with enough metaphysical energy, and/or spotting men who looked like the heinous Hinton, she would manifest into a visible form by activating photons in the environment. This deeply disturbing manifestation was accompanied by lights flickering, the elevator jerking about wildly, a noxious sulfur smell, a rapid de-escalation in temperature to nearly freezing, and her unholy sounding screams. It was suspected that her vulnerable spirit was partially possessed by a demon at this point. Thankfully paranormal professionals, including a special team of Catholic Priests, were able to cleanse the elevator of evil, and send the little girl into the light that hopefully led to the Heavenly dimensions of peace, and happiness.
