The McTavish International Academy Of Magical Sciences is home to every level of schooling both standard and magical from Kindergarten to University Graduate School. Upon successful completion of required courses for any given education level a Graduation Diploma is awarded to each student at a Commencement Ceremony. In reality, a variety of ceremonies take place over a two-day period. Each school level within the greater University structure has its own separate graduation ceremony. All feature their own Valedictorian & Salutatorian who gives a speech at their respective ceremonies around the greater campus of enchanted enlightenment. This includes Elementary, Intermediate, High School, Collegiate, and Graduate School Levels. There are also Graduate School ceremonies. Generally, most of these occur on June 16th with Headmaster Sorcerer Supreme Ian McTavish offering some brief words of wisdom at the respective events.
The Grand Graduation Ceremony
June 17th brings us the Grand Graduation with all students present. After a rousing speech from the Headmaster, there’s a glorious magic show displaying the talents of the most gifted wizards and witches. At this master ceremony two lucky students are awarded the title of Grand Salutatorian and Grand Valedictorian. We are then graced with the special guest Commencement Speaker. Often, they are the superstars of the secret supernatural world. Afterward a prolific party celebrates the hard work and amazing achievements of the past year. The elevated event is full of fantastical fireworks and marvelous magic that go on well past the Witching Hour. College level graduates contemplate how they will use their special set of skills to battle the forces of diabolical darkness in our world.
