For any of our regular readers of this blog it’s obvious that vampires are real<\/a>. Therefore it’s only logical that Vampire Slayers, or Vampire Hunters<\/a>, are real as well.\u00a0 Some Vampire Slayers mindlessly hunt down any nocturnal blood sucker of the immortal sort regardless of their ill intent or lack thereof.\u00a0 Most however tend to investigate their vampire of interest or judge in the spur of the moment within precarious situations. Clearly, a Vampire<\/a> blatantly biting into the jugular<\/a> of a screaming human is grounds for a stake to the heart!\u00a0\u00a0Without such obvious situations a wise Slayer can recognize a blight to humanity versus a potentially powerful ally who would have personal insights into vampires psychology, physiology, and personal habits.<\/p>\n

Most vampire slayers tend to be solely dedicated to eradicating the dark vampire scourge from the Earth rather than taking on other paranormal beings. Vampire Slayers that expand their fight to all evil entities generally just call themselves a paranormal or supernatural hunter, warrior, or crime fighter. Sometimes even a supernatural slayer. After all, these calamitous creatures are waging a war, and committing crimes against helpless humanity! Slayers are almost always Immortals, super humans, witches, or have some type of powers to combat vampires.\u00a0 Some may even be Demi-Vampires, otherwise known as Dhamphirs<\/a>. In fiction, the vampire hunter Blade<\/a>[Ad] fits this profile.\u00a0 These rare human-vampire hybrids have the advantage of sensing when a vampire is near, and picking them out of human crowd.\u00a0 Their enhanced physical and mental abilities also aid in their quest to quell vampire violence against humans. They are the closest thing to a natural Vampire Slayer.<\/p>\n

Are There Vampire Hunters Like Buffy The Vampire Slayer?<\/h2>\n

A lesser number of Vampire Hunters are normal humans.\u00a0 In that case, they tend to use hardcore hardware that spews forth silver bullets (full or plated) to subdue a vampire before staking it in the heart to end its existence.\u00a0 Vampire slayers can be male, or female despite the TV series “Buffy The Vampire Slayer<\/a>” having only female hunters.\u00a0 Of course in that show Slayers seem to be a certain breed of human while in fact no paranormal beings are actually classified as “Vampire Slayers”. \u00a0It’s merely a title bestowed upon themselves. However, some are born into families who pass down their knowledge of vampire hunting in the hopes of their children continuing the family tradition of protecting people from the living dead of the lowest demonic denomination.<\/p>\n

Whether they have powers, or not, Vampire Slayers generally carry the standard tools of the trade. Those items known to repel or destroy vampires<\/a>. This includes the iconic wooden stake along with guns loaded with silver or hickory wood bullets. There are also various religious artifacts<\/a> such as holy water, holy oil, crosses, and crucifixes. The herbs Vervain<\/a>, and garlic are standard herbal countermeasures in the fight against vamps.\u00a0 Speaking of garlic Vampire Hunters without powers tend to eat a lot of garlic while also wearing it. This ends up being unpleasant for both fellow humans and vampires alike! \u00a0Too much garlic almost creates a shield around a person thereby repelling a vampire since it makes them quite nauseous.
