Werewolves, also known as Lycanthropes, are humans infected with the demonic Lycanthropy Virus. The supernatural virus re-writes their DNA causing transformation into varying degrees of a mindless monstrous wolf-like humanoid hunting down anything that moves for sustenance! These terrifying transformations occur on all nights when the Moon is considered Full. A Full Moon in terms of werewolf transmutation is defined as 80% or more of the moon’s surface illuminated by the sun.<\/p>\n

The 80% is the minimal illumination value that usually only affects those who recently became a nocturnal hairy horror. With age resistance is formed to the Werewolf Virus due to the humanity still strongly existing within their DNA and immortal souls. More Moon illumination is required to achieve Lycanthrope status with each passing year. With each percentage point of Lunar lighting, the number of Werewolf transmutations greatly increases to its peak at 100% Full Moon. Although their strength, speed, and aggression are somewhat lessened by a thick cloud cover this does not prevent the transformation. It isn’t the lunar light itself that triggers it but rather the metaphysical energy sent forth by the photons that compose light.<\/p>\n

The rising sun triggers the de-transformation back to their human form. The sun in general blinds the werewolf and renders it helpless amid the holy light rays. Although, it will not burst into flames like a Vampire<\/a> in sunlight.
