About Ashley Abercrombie

I'm Mystic Investigations Chief Cryptozoologist. I became interested in Cryptids when I found out my missing father was in fact a zombie. A pre-zombie who fathered me while he was infected with the paranormal zombification virus. Now I'm some how a zombie-human hybrid. Although I look perfectly normal, and live a mostly normal life. Well except for the fact that I can fake being dead, and can go a long time without breathing oxygen. My blood holds the key to curing the zombie scourge that infests our paranormal planet.

What Is The Scientific Name For Zombies?

Cryptozooglogists, Necrologists, and Zombologists classify Zombies as Homo Necrosis Zombifis under the supernatural sciences.  The complete paranormal classification is below:

Kingdom: Cryptida (Supernatural Cryptids)
Phylum: Immortalis (Immortals)
Class: SupraNecrosis (Living Dead Beings)
Order: Magica (A Product Of Magic)
Family: Anthropophagis Sanguinus (Survives Off Human Flesh And Blood)
Genus: Homo Necrosis (The Melding Of Human And Zombie)
Species: Homo Necrosis Zombifis (Scientific Name For Zombies)

Cryptida is the seventh Kingdom that mainstream science refuses to acknowledge.

Despite Zombies being technically Immortal they also are in a state of rotting necrosis which means they will be non-animated in less than a decade depending on the circumstances of the environment they menace.  However magical intervention could theoretically extend their destructive lives indefinitely.  The original supernatural zombie virus is a product of a magical accident.  In addition to Practitioners Of Magic raising corpses from the dead, the zombies themselves can pass on the virus to make new zombies.

What Is The Scientific Name For Vampires?

The supernatural scientific name for the Cryptids known as Vampires is Homo Nosferatu Vampiris.

Vampire Scientific Classification Chart

Tribe: Nocturna Solaris(Diurnal Solar Radiation Fatal)
Genus: Homo Nosferatu (The Melding Of Human And Vampire)
Species: Homo Nosferatu Vampiris (Scientific Name For Vampires)

Vampire BitingThere are currently six kingdoms accepted in the science of biology but we in the paranormal community know that there are actually seven.  Cryptids are real so we implore the mainstream scientific community to deal with it!  In addition not all Cryptids fall into the Cryptida category as we see it.  There are simply rare animals (Animalia) that science can’t verify or hasn’t discovered yet.  Animals that don’t necessarily have a supernatural origin but are amazing none the less.

Do Zombies Ever Sleep?

zombie-asleepTechnically Zombies don’t sleep nor do they need to sleep since they’re dead.  However a zombie horde will cease mindless movement after a certain amount of time without spotting, or smelling any human, or animal prey. Plausibly due to the zombie virus weakening without sustenance. It then goes into a state of temporary stasis. They will remain standing still with their heads hanging down until something disturbs them. Zombies that wander off alone will eventually collapse, and appear truly dead if no prey or other zombies are seen after a period of time. However they’ll pop back up again the minute they smell or hear any humans, animals, or zombies.  Sometimes weather conditions including a brisk wind will get them re-animated.  Never assume that a motionless zombie lying on the ground is harmless. Destroy the brain, and ask questions later.

If faced with a natural or artificial obstacle, such as a fence, they will continue to move against it if prey is on the other side. Within hours they will cease movement if unsuccessful in conquering said obstacle. Once the object of their fascination is gone they will turn left or right, or all the way around to stagger back where they came from. Without any prey to guide them the most common direction is to turn left for reasons unknown. Clearly there is no zombie horde leader so it is unknown what guides their travel when no evidence of human prey, or even interesting smells exist. We do know that they tend to follow the path of least resistance.

On a related note I’m Mystic Investigations half zombie Cryptozoologist Ashley Abercrombie. Commonly a Zombie-Human Hybrid is known as a Demi-Zombie. I personally only sleep 3-4 hours a night.  However I’ve gone a week with only 2 hours of sleep per night. Clearly that’s all my human half needs despite the average adult requiring 7-8 hours of sleep on a nightly basis. I’ve been told that indulging in my craving for human flesh would greatly eliminate my need for sleep but I refuse to give in to my dark zombie desires! You can find short stories featuring me here.
